Learnerships

Learnerships have become one of the primary training and skills development platforms assisting in bridging the skills gap and providing the South African Youth with employment opportunities through theoretical and practical implementation of skills learnt whilst on learnership programmes.

Government has created a significant pool of benefits for participating organisations, which includes tax rebates and contribution to B-BBEE points.

TDI fully project manages all interventions trained, by assisting clients with the sourcing of candidates and host employers (if required), to the facilitation, assessment and moderation of all programmes trained. Through many years of experience, successful management of learnerships, and key relationships with various SETA bodies, TDI’s team provides hands-on, effective management of programmes, and assists clients with all SETA compliance requirements.

Companies are able to offer learnerships to existing employees (referred to as “18.1’s”) or to unemployed individuals (referred to as “18.2’s”). Both options provide significant value to the organization, and assist in enhancing the skills development of the South African population and stimulation of the economy.
